I want to make two important points: - The commission plan gives people financial incentive to stay involved in a company. The reasons people stay involved are considerably more complex. There are three reasons that distributors join companies - community needs, income needs, and self-improvement. The products and services of the company also play a key role in distributor loyalty. I have never seen a company thrive and prosper over the long term that did not adequately address all of these aspects.
- Commission plans should be consistent. Contests and incentives should vary, should build on each other, and should support the plan. They provide the fun of the business. Contests help people pay their way to conventions, pay their way on cruises, and so on. It's literally a way to get everyone involved.
