Internet Based Leads #1 : How to Find a Quality Provider-By E.A. Weymuller

There’s a good reason why one of the most often visited article categories on this site is “MLM Leads.” Let’s go through the basics quickly:
- Everyone who is looking to expand their business needs leads.
- “Warm market” (friends and family) is a tough row to hoe.
- Once you’ve exhausted your warm market (hopefully, not literally), where do you find quality leads?
If you are asking yourself this last question, considering professional lead generation assistance could be your next step. When looking for a provider for your Internet-based leads, keep these four major tenets in mind:
1. Selection – The lead gen company you choose should display an array of choices for a user to pick from. This provides a better user experience and a higher converting lead.
2. Truly Opt-in ONLY – This means a user must specifically request information from the advertiser. It is arguably the most important factor in lead quality! Tricks such as pre-checked boxes or incentive-based offers result in a dissatisfied user and poor conversion rates for the advertiser who is following up on the lead.
3. Attract Quality Traffic – Through web marketing, the site you select to use should be focused on appealing to the sector of Internet traffic that has the highest chance of converting not only into a quality lead, but ultimately, a new client for the advertiser.
4. Quality Site Design – a dedicated website with obvious purpose and no other distracting content keeps user focused on achieving their goal in an efficient manner. This will keep the lead that you end up purchasing on target.
The sheer volume of users on the Internet looking for home-based businesses or a network marketing opportunity to become a part of is staggering. That volume, of course, attracts lots of competitors vying for an audience with each of these interested search engine users. This makes it very hard for you as a single rep (with presumably modest resources) to present yourself to an interested party.
Picture the process this way: a river overflowing with spawning fish (people on Google looking for the right MLM) all wriggling and bumping each other to get to their goal, and a nice river bottom spot to spawn (a network marketing business they can really get into). Where there’s fishing to be done, there will be people trying to catch the fish (MLM reps, corporate MLM pages, snake oil sales people, etc.) Except in this example, rather than eating the fish, most of these folks merely want to help the fish find a spawning ground--hopefully at their own little patch of river bottom. Although many of these people have good intentions of leading a fish to a spot they think would suit its needs, the majority of them don’t have the resources to provide an unbiased selection of spawning spots from which the fish can choose.
What a good lead gen company will do is provide you (their client) with a picnic blanket so that you can sit on the riverbank and survey your plot of perfect river bottom, as their rep delivers you fish from the masses that have specifically chosen to consider your spot because something there resonated with them. And, they want to gather more information about it to see if it would be the right choice for them, which is where lead follow-up comes in. But, this is a totally separate topic that will be addressed in another article.
A lead gen site with integrity will present an interested user with a large selection of home business opportunities and in turn provide each of its clients with relevant leads that are actively pursuing their goal of working with just the right MLM.
