Review of Hootsuite

I’ve been posting to social media for mlm.com for the last few years, which means that I regularly post to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google Plus. Recently, a colleague introduced me to Hootsuite, a service that lets you manage multiple social media accounts from one place. I was a bit apprehensive at first; I don’t have time for lengthy account setups, or learning how to use complicated programs for posting. I was pleasantly surprised when it took me less than 5 minutes to set up the account and to figure out how to post to our accounts. Perfect. All you have to do is choose which account suits your needs, click ‘Get Started’ and the site will prompt you through setup. If you use ‘pages’ through your personal social media accounts, you can choose them instead of your personal account.

Hootsuite Accounts

Hootsuite Free: The free account allows you to post to three different social media accounts at a time, use basic analytics, basic message scheduling, access to basic apps, 2 RSS feeds, and it’s SSL secure.

Hoosuite Pro: You can try Hootsuite Pro for the first 30 days for free. The features include: Up to 50 social profiles, 1 enhanced analytics report, bulk message scheduling, multiple users, and access to premium apps.

Hootsuite Enterprise:Features include: Up to 50 social profiles, real-time analytics, publishing approvals, 6 social campaign templates, social media certification, vanity URL, 24/7 support, and custom set-up and training.

Once you have your account set up, you’re ready to start posting. You will be guided to a page that has your social media accounts listed. All you have to do is select which accounts to post to, compose your messages, add media and/or links if you want to, and send your posts. You can schedule posts to run at a later date and time. Depending on the package you choose, you will also have several other features to play around with.

Hootsuite is easy to use, saves time when posting, and is easy to set up and follow. I’m sure you’ll enjoy using it as much as I have, especially if you post to several different accounts each day.
