Elizabeth had worked for a large financial institution in downtown Atlanta for almost ten years when she found out she was soon to be the mother of her second child, Alexander. Rather than leaving him in daycare after he was born, Elizabeth tried to think of a way she could support her family while staying home with both of her children. On a whim, she bought some purses at wholesale and thought about having “purse parties” to sell them. Some of the handbags she bought were “design-your-own” styles, and she quickly realized that this was the direction she wanted to take. Eventually, after a lot of research, help from others, and brainstorming, Elizabeth started her own company: Maddy Moo Creations.
